I want to take a moment to congratulate our amazing Lionesses in winning the European Championships in front of a record crowd at Wembley Stadium. Their contribution in inspiring the next generation of women and girls to play sport in this country will be difficult to quantify given its huge impact on the hearts and minds of so many.
Their spirit, togetherness, and determination to succeed provide valuable lessons for us all – not just in sport but across all walks of life. To the women themselves, I say enjoy the victory and the adulation – you deserve it!
