Pride in Place funding: Fairfield West and Newsham – your neighbourhood, your say.
The Pride in Place programme is a Labour Government programme aimed at regenerating neighbourhoods across the UK.
I am delighted to announce that I have secured £20 million from the Labour Government for Fairfield West and Newsham over the next 10 years.
The Government rightly says this money should be spent on the key priorities of local people – this might be on community activities, sports and cultural centres, education or healthcare services, improved roads – or something else you believe is needed in the neighbourhood.
I know that this new investment of £20 million over the next decade from our Pride in Place initiative can bring real improvements to our area and I want local people and businesses to tell us how they think this money could be spent to improve Fairfield West and Newsham.
This funding has only just been announced, so now is the time for Fairfield West and Newsham residents to get involved.
I want to hear from you – please fill in the Fairfield West and Newsham – your neighbourhood, your say survey here.
I’m inviting local residents, community groups, small businesses and local stakeholders to share your views on Fairfield West and Newsham Pride in Place funding via this survey. Your feedback will help shape priorities for the area and ensure your voice is heard in the process.
Please take a few minutes to complete the short survey below and tell us what matters most to you and your community.
Many thanks,
Paula Barker
