Violence on the Streets of Liverpool – Enough is Enough

Like many scousers, I was devastated to hear of the murder of 9-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel which took place in her home. Violence, murder, assault has become all too common place in our city in recent times and it’s time we say collectively that enough really is enough. It is the 3rd murder in a week and the community will be rightly concerned.

We need a swift end to gun violence, to knife violence, to the brutality that is a stain on our society. When the chips are down, the people of Liverpool are at their best when they rally around each other, and I am in no doubt that is what we will do in the coming period.

I urge anyone with any information on Olivia’s killer to come forward and to assist Merseyside Police in their investigations. If you have any information on any of these murders, please contact Merseyside Police or Crime Stoppers. We must ensure that those who are responsible are held accountable.
